About Me

I spent 16 years wondering if my life was really going to play out with this uninteresting work.

I desired freedom.

I googled “alternative careers for a dental hygienist” and researched them all.

Most of them appeared just as boring.

I had learned about myofunctional therapy at a conference very early in my career and never thought about it again.

Until I did. 

Long story short, I got trained, set a 5 year goal to retire from dental hygiene, did it in 13 months and have since earned millions running a global myofunctional therapy practice.

Ditch Hygiene Academy™ Curriculum

Stage 1

This is where you get your sea legs!  Get your introduction to Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy, learn how to gather information and complete assessments,  learn about all things tongue tie, airway, early orthodontic intervention, breathing and sleep, and finish up by learning how to plan therapy and write reports.

Stage 2

The fun continues!  While continuing to build your knowledge about myofunctional therapy, advanced needs clients, working with children, toxic oral habits and posture, you will also spend time with adult and youth case studies.  In this stage you will also learn all the exercises and start thinking about your business start up.

Stage 3

This is your practice management stage.  You will learn my calendaring and time management system, how to set up 7 systems for your business, how to start building your business network and how to price your services.  There are also business case studies from other practicing therapists.

Stage 4

Welcome to the advanced studies and mentorship stage.  You will learn how to legally launch your business (taught by a lawyer), how to use Trello, start an email list for marketing, set up your Myo Money™ finance system and everything you need to know about orthodontic appliances.

Stage 5

In this stage you will continue mastering the knowledge you've already learned plus more about marketing, social media content, website creation, search engine optimization and 3rd party apps/software.

Apprenticeship

Work with your first paying client under the supportive and watchful eye of your leader.  Don't be left alone!  Book individual coaching sessions to discuss your client or troubleshoot therapy.
